Down To Earth Landscaping

Savor. Indulge. Delight.

Food is essential to life. The enjoyment of food is essential to living. We originally intended to focus exclusively on edible gardens in order to make them as ubiquitous as the American two-car garage. Thankfully, edibles are gaining attention and devotion as we realize the importance of preserving our heirloom crop diversity and knowledge of food cultivation practices.

Annual and perennial fruit, vegetable and herb species are incorporated into our landscapes as companion-planted alternative edible beds or as complementary plantings to ornamental landscape infrastructure. We also offer smaller, original container gardens teeming with edibles for those with limited space or time.

Imagine the color, shape and structural form combination of Purple-Podded Pole bean tendrils clinging to Acoma Dipper Gourd vines with Love-Lies-Bleeding Amaranth. Or a hanging basket of Beam's Yellow Pear Tomatoes and Purple Ruffles Basil. A beneficial insect-attractor understory of Daikon radish, Purple Haze carrots and Italian Flat Leaf parsley provides essential mulch and diversity to any orchard.
