Past basic landscaping, she enhanced our front entrance with marvelous boulders and driveway design and designed a pergola and patio area for us. Then she directed the design process through the architect and sought and secured the approval from our planned community Landscape Committee.

Christie Green helped us redo the landscaping for our home in Rancho Viejo - converting our haphazardly planted yard into something with real potential. Everything started with her design. She reviewed the plants that already surrounded the house and then reworked the design, paying particular attention to plants that needed little water and were native. She also made sure we were in on the selection of plants and chose ones that pleased us. The new design has an appealing mix of colors, types, and heights. Following the design came the execution. Christie implemented virtually everything in a three week period. She has a good crew and they respond well to her direction.

One of Christie's greatest strengths is plant selection. She knows our climate and our microclimates. She knows soils from caliche to sand. She knows which plants will thrive in which soils and in which microclimates. If we had sought Christie's advice when we first began planting, seven years ago, we would have saved many, many dollars spent on plants that did not thrive or died because they were the wrong choice or in the wrong place.
In addition to plant selection, Christie has helped us with design, soil enrichment, and organic maintenance. Five years later, we have a beautiful, mature garden that thrives without chemical fertilizers, additives, or pest controls.
